Isolde A wonderfully romantic garment with a medieval flavor, Isolde is built from a triangle that follows the shoulder line and narrows to a point at the waist. The space is colored in with gussets that shape the waistline curve and give this garment it's antique feel. You can imagine it as the bodice of a long gown.
Corrections: Side Gusset Squares - Knit the first gusset A towards D.
Note: Reversing directions means that on gusset A towards B, place all the front stitches on the left needle and all the back stitches on the right needle. Start Row 1 with K2tog...(1 st from the front/1 st from the back.)
Skirt
Place the front bodice sts on a circular needle. Starting at the lower RIGHT side.....
Row 47: Using C knit 1 tbl, knit 35(39), knit the 23 left side bodice stitches on needle, slip 1, pick up one stitch from gusset, slip that stitch purlwise, turn.
Note: All the gusset stitches on front right side are picked up and slipped purlwise as you go.
Skirt: The paragraph after Row 48
Once you get the 25(27) stitches from the other gusset consumed, put the stitches on hold and do the same on the BACK. Purl the BACK side stitches between D and C beginning at the same place as front between A and D. Starting at the top of the gusset and working down as you did on the front, then cable cast on the corresponding 11(13)stitches. After you finish consuming BOTH groups of gusset stitches in the BACK as in the FRONT, join them making certain the color row is correct. Available in S/M (32") and L/XL (40").
